Dawn of War 4 has been delayed to allow its developers more time to improve the game before release. The postponement affects the return of the long-running Warhammer 40,000 real-time strategy series, with the team saying it is prioritising the quality of the final experience.
The developers said the extra time would help them “further enhance” the game and realise their intended vision. No revised release date or details of the planned improvements were announced, so the new launch timetable remains unclear.

Dawn of War is a series of real-time strategy video games set in Warhammer 40,000, a science-fiction universe in which rival armies fight across a distant, war-torn future. Players usually build bases, gather resources and command units in battles, taking control of factions such as the human Imperium, Space Marines and Orks.
The first game was released in 2004, and later entries developed different approaches to strategy gameplay. Dawn of War 4 is intended to continue the series after a long gap, making it a notable return for fans of both the games and the wider Warhammer 40,000 setting.
The game is being developed by King Art Games, a German studio best known for the Iron Harvest strategy game. Its publisher is Deep Silver, which is part of the Embracer Group, a wider games and entertainment company.
