DAZN Acquiring EverPass Media In U.S. Expansion

DAZN is acquiring EverPass Media, a US commercial sports-distribution company, to expand beyond its direct-to-consumer streaming business into bars, restaurants, hotels and other venues. The deal gives DAZN access to EverPass’s technology, venue relationships and premium sports rights, strengthening its position in the US sports market; financial terms were not disclosed.

EverPass holds exclusive commercial distribution rights for NFL Sunday Ticket and also carries competitions including the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, MLB, NBA, Formula 1 and college sports. It will be rebranded as DAZN for Business, led by EverPass chief executive Alex Kaplan, while investors RedBird Capital, NFL-backed 32 Equity and TKO Group become minority DAZN shareholders; DAZN plans to invest in the platform’s content, capabilities and international reach.
