Dbrand already has iPhone Ultra cases, spoiling Apple’s surprise

Engadget · 2 hours ago

Dbrand has begun selling nearly 50 grip cases for an "iPhone Ultra" that Apple has not yet announced, effectively pre-empting the reveal expected at the company's iPhone event on 9 September 2026. The move underscores just how widely leaked the device's existence already is, with reports of a foldable Apple handset circulating since as far back as 2017.

The iPhone Ultra is widely tipped to be a book-style foldable in the mould of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold or Google Pixel Fold, running a modified, iPad-like version of iOS, though exact specifications remain unconfirmed beyond rumours of crease-reducing screen technology. Analysts expect a price of at least $2,000, possibly nearer $2,400, and some reports suggest it could be unveiled at tomorrow's event but not actually launch until later in the year, partly owing to its complexity and an ongoing global RAM shortage.
