DC’s ‘Mister Miracle’ Gets First Official Plot Details

DC is developing an animated series about Mister Miracle and Big Barda, two characters from Jack Kirby’s Fourth World. Mackenzie Davis will voice Barda opposite Josh Hutcherson as Mister Miracle, with the story drawing on Tom King and Mitch Gerads’ 2017 comic miniseries.

Davis says the scripts explore a couple facing pain, depression and a traumatic event, alongside the wider threat of Darkseid’s Anti-Life Equation. She and Hutcherson record their dialogue together to capture the relationship between the characters. Davis could not confirm whether she might also play Barda in live-action.
