DC Comics has announced a new wave of “Next Level” titles for 2027 at San Diego Comic-Con, building on the initiative’s recent success. The most prominent release is a new Shadow of the Bat series by Deniz Camp and Javier Rodríguez, which will examine Gotham’s failing institutions and seek to reinterpret Batman for the present day.

DC will also publish Batman of Two Worlds for Batman Day in September, pairing a classic Batman story by Matt Fraction and Javi Fernández with an Absolute Batman tale by Scott Snyder and Nick Derington. Other announced series include Michael Walsh’s six-issue Jonah Hex and the Shadow of Death, James Harren’s new The Demon, plus new Static and Vixen comics by Cody Ziglar and Diego Olortegui, and Stephanie Williams and Khary Randolph respectively.
