D&D is getting World of Warcraft and Star Wars crossovers
Wizards of the Coast has announced Dungeons & Dragons crossovers with World of Warcraft and Star Wars under a new “D&D Universes Beyond” initiative. The move expands D&D into major external franchises, following the commercially successful Universes Beyond strategy used for Magic: The Gathering.
The World of Warcraft sourcebook, set in Azeroth, will launch on 17 November and is based on the revised fifth-edition Player’s Handbook. It includes rules for all 13 World of Warcraft classes, 11 themed player species, six subclasses, plus new spells, items and professions; a Star Wars collaboration set in the Rebellion era is planned for 2027, though few details have been released.
