DEATH ANGEL Releases New Single ‘The Never Was’

Death Angel have released a new single, “The Never Was”, with an official lyric visualiser as they prepare for international touring. The song extends the work of a band whose speed and precision have shaped its thrash metal sound for more than four decades.

Vocalist Mark Osegueda says the lyrics target self-centred people who turn conversations, other people’s tragedies or successes into opportunities to praise themselves. He describes the track as an angry thrash metal counterpart to Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain”. The visualiser features drawings and video production by Tamara Llenas, while Mark Richards created the single artwork; the band also has European and Australian dates and annual holiday shows ahead.
