John Paul Miller, a disgraced pastor whose wife Mica died in April 2024 days after filing for divorce, was asked to leave Travinia Italian Kitchen in Myrtle Beach on 17 September. The restaurant staff and remaining customers objected to his presence following the release of a Netflix documentary titled "Death of the Pastor's Wife," which alleged he drove his wife to suicide and abused her during their marriage. Miller faces federal charges related to her death and has become a pariah in his community, with his once-thriving megachurch now reduced to approximately 50 congregants meeting in a strip mall.

When manager Jasmine asked Miller and his new wife Suzie to leave, he refused, initially challenging staff to call the police and insisting he would be served. After Suzie convinced him to leave, Miller posted a one-star TripAdvisor review that evening under the name "John M," falsely claiming he had been there with seven others and was discriminated against because of his Christian faith. The restaurant's owners, who are themselves devout Christians, found the accusation particularly petty given the circumstances.
