Death Valley Girls are returning with a new LP after significant personal upheaval. Lead singer Bonnie Bloomgarden lost her Altadena home during California's wildfires and her dog Tommy, but the Los Angeles band has regrouped with a fresh lineup including new drummer, guitarist, bassist, saxophonist, and keyboardist. The project marks their first full-length since 2022's Islands In The Sky.

The lead single, 'Message From The Venus Flower,' combines upbeat, groovy instrumentation with motivational messaging centred on resilience in the face of loss. The track's accompanying music video was directed by filmmaker Ian Svenonius. Bloomgarden has credited the new ensemble as essential to the album's realisation, noting the specific group dynamics shaped the work. Welcome To Earth releases October 9 on independent label Suicide Squeeze.
