DEE SNIDER And RIKI RACHTMAN Launch New Podcast ‘The Ball’

Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider and former MTV “Headbangers Ball” host Riki Rachtman have launched a new podcast, also called “The Ball”. Its first episode premiered on YouTube earlier this week, bringing together two figures linked to the history of heavy metal television.

Rachtman says the show will be filmed and released on YouTube and audio platforms including Spotify and iTunes. Episodes are to be recorded live without editing, with a Patreon option for audience participation; he described the set as striking, while saying the pair began without a fixed plan for what to discuss. Snider hosted MTV’s “Heavy Metal Mania” in 1985, before “Headbangers Ball” launched in 1987; Rachtman became its host in 1990.
