Deep Sea Camels have released their third studio album, ‘So It Begins’, a ten-track record presented as a forceful, socially observant rock release. The band’s long-standing friendship, dating back to 1975, underpins an album addressing isolation, materialism, entrenched power and the need for solidarity.

Building on 2024’s ‘This Is Where We Are Now’, the group foregrounds keyboards and broader arrangements, with Steve Wigmore’s playing a notable feature. Highlights include the anti-elite ‘Same Rules Apply’, the instrumental ‘Really Mr K?’, the climactic ‘Exit Wound’, and ‘Rock City Nights’, a tribute to formative music venues; Fiona Carter also returns on ‘An Ordinary Life’.
