Denzel Curry and Kenneth Blume, formerly known as Kenny Beats, have announced their second collaborative album, ii, to be released on 21 August via Loma Vista. The project reunites the pair six years after Unlocked and continues their rap-focused partnership, despite Curry recently exploring other musical directions.
The nine-track album was reportedly shaped by creative disagreements, with the pair ultimately using an SP-404 sampler and a cheap microphone to make a more stripped-back record. Its lead single, “Difference”, features singer Yebba and arrives with a VHS-style split-screen video directed by NOTACHANCE; JPEGMAFIA and Westside Gunn also appear on the album.
