Denzel Washington’s Sci-Fi Crime Thriller ‘Déjà Vu’ Is ‘Minority Report’ Meets ‘Looper’

Denzel Washington’s 2006 thriller *Déjà Vu* is available to stream free on Tubi as it reaches its 20th anniversary. The film combines a fast-paced crime story with time-travel science fiction, using its premise to explore surveillance, moral responsibility and the anxieties of early-2000s America.

Washington plays ATF agent Doug Carlin, who joins an FBI team investigating a bombing of a New Orleans ferry carrying Navy personnel and their families. A secret project lets the team view just over four days into the past in real time, and Carlin studies victim Claire Kuchever as he tries to identify the bomber and prevent the attack. Directed by Tony Scott, the film also stars Jim Caviezel, Val Kilmer and Paula Patton.
