Sepultura frontman Derrick Green has spoken again about his plans for a new band once the group's ongoing farewell tour concludes, telling Overdrive.ie that he wants the project to be heavy but more melodic than his current work. He said he is already assembling collaborators and shaping a sound built around a mix of singing and screaming with a strong groove element, drawing inspiration from the varied hardcore and rock scenes he has encountered while living in Los Angeles.

Green also outlined non-musical projects he hopes to pursue after Sepultura's touring commitments end, including voiceover work and continued involvement in the plant-based food and lifestyle space, notably further episodes of "Highway To Health" with former Whitesnake bassist Tanya O'Callaghan. He noted that forming new musical partnerships feels like a fresh challenge after nearly three decades alongside Sepultura bandmates Andreas Kisser and Paulo Xisto Pinto Jr., but said he remains focused on the many farewell shows still ahead.
