Watermelon Pictures has acquired "Everything Is Not OK," a documentary by director Dev Benegal about artist Judith Blum Reddy, which will stream exclusively on the distributor's Watermelon+ platform. The film explores how Reddy's art has been shaped by the Holocaust and successive displacements from New York to Paris to India, positioning the acquisition as part of Watermelon Pictures' growing slate of films dealing with memory, erasure and resistance.

The documentary interweaves Reddy's story with those of fellow artists Nil Yalter, Zarina and Camille Billops, alongside Palestinian, Kashmiri and Indian poetry, framing art-making as an act of confrontation against silence. Annemarie Jacir, director of "Palestine 36," has joined as executive producer and lends her voice to poetry readings alongside actor Adam Bakri, while the producing team includes Maya S. Patel and Neeraj Jain of Min(d) Studio. Watermelon Pictures, launched in 2024, has built a slate including three Academy Award international feature shortlist entries and the Oscar-nominated "The Voice of Hind Rajab," with its Watermelon+ platform having launched in May 2025 as the largest single collection of Palestinian film assembled in one place.
