Devon Allman Says “Hot Damn” To Landing First Major Acting Role In AMC’s NASCAR Drama ‘Thunder Road’
Musician Devon Allman has been cast in a recurring role in AMC’s forthcoming NASCAR drama Thunder Road, marking his first major acting job. The series, due to begin production this summer and premiere on AMC and AMC+ in 2027, follows a racing family fighting to preserve its legacy, with Allman joining an established ensemble led by Dennis Quaid.
Allman will play Jimmy Fuchs, described as a charming but potentially dangerous Southern operator. Created by John Fusco, Thunder Road centres on Quaid’s Duane Whitlock, a veteran racing figure whose family empire grew from moonshine runs and dirt-track racing; the cast also includes Chase Stokes, Michael Rooker, Matt Barr, Maggie Grace and West Duchovny.
