Diablo 4 Season 14’s Worst Mythic Change Is No More: “Not Every Idea Lands”
Blizzard has removed Diablo 4 Season 14’s restriction that allowed players to equip only one crafted Mythic item, responding to widespread criticism from players and creators. The change lets players use multiple Mythics they have crafted, making the game’s endgame equipment system less restrictive and signalling that Blizzard is prepared to alter seasonal experiments after feedback.
The PC patch arrived on 16 July, with a console release due on 17 July, and also increased Mythic and Iconic Mythic drop rates from the seasonal Lair Boss. A 14 July update had already increased Pandemonium Fragment drops and reduced the fragments required for crafting, while changes to the confusing Mythic Upgrade system are planned for Season 15. Blizzard will retain its broader “Mythic Uniques 3.0” overhaul, under which Uniques can become stronger Mythic versions.
- Blizzard removed the one-crafted-Mythic equip limit.
- Mythic drop rates have also increased.
- The wider Mythic overhaul remains in place.
