Dick Clark Productions Launches DCP Studios to Expand Content and Creative Capabilities

Variety · 3 hours ago

Dick Clark Productions (DCP) has launched a new creative division called DCP Studios, aimed at expanding the company's production capabilities across its awards shows and live entertainment properties, including the Golden Globes, "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve", the Academy of Country Music Awards and the American Music Awards. The move reflects broader consolidation within Penske Media Corporation (PMC), DCP's parent company, which also owns Variety and has folded the new studio into its recently established PMX unit.

The division will be led by Yosef Johnson, who joins from Vox Media, where he was senior vice-president and head of Vox Creative; Vox Media was recently acquired by PMC. Johnson brings over 15 years of experience, having held leadership roles at Group Nine Media, NowThis and Wieden+Kennedy New York, where he worked with brands including Nike and ESPN. DCP Studios will also act as the branded production studio for PMX's brand partnerships, with DCP's chief commercial officer, Mike Chuthakieo, saying it will allow the company to offer a broader range of creative services through an "always-on studio model".
