Digimon Story Time Stranger 60fps Patch Out Now on PS5, Adds Photo Mode and More

Push Square · 2 months ago

Bandai Namco has released the previously promised performance patch for Digimon Story Time Stranger on PS5, more than eight months after the creature-taming RPG launched. Update 01.000.012 is available to download now and, most notably, adds a graphics mode offering "full HD, up to 60fps", addressing complaints that the game had been locked to 30 frames per second since release. The move matters to players who had criticised the original performance as underwhelming for a title of its visual quality.

Alongside the higher frame-rate option, the update introduces several additional features, including Terriermon Assistant as a playable party member, a photo mode for use during field exploration, and a new screen in the Digifarm for checking Digivolution conditions. The article notes that the 60fps mode is optional and cautions that it remains to be seen whether the frame rate is stable and whether the resolution has been affected. Push Square broadly recommends the game to fans of monster-based RPGs, while acknowledging its gameplay balance is imperfect.

  • Digimon Story Time Stranger PS5 patch adds a 60fps graphics mode.
  • Update also brings photo mode and playable Terriermon Assistant.
  • Fix arrives over eight months after the game's launch.
