DINO JELUSICK Explains How ‘Serious E-Mail From DAVID COVERDALE’s Lawyer’ Put An End To WHITESNAKE EXPERIENCE Project
Croatian singer Dino Jelušić has revealed that a stern legal letter from David Coverdale's lawyer ended plans for a "Whitesnake Experience" project, closing the door on any revival of his time with the band. Jelušić, who joined Whitesnake for its final European tour, made the remarks during an interview reflecting on the chaotic 2022 tour and its aftermath, offering rare insight into why a full reunion or tribute-style continuation never materialised.
In the interview, Jelušić recounted how the 2022 European tour was plagued by COVID-19 outbreaks among band members, including guitarist Reb Beach testing positive for 20 days, forcing multiple show cancellations before Coverdale ultimately scrapped the rest of the tour, citing "continuing health challenges". He described stepping in to help cover for absent members, briefly joining Steel Panther on stage, and going on to work with the Dead Daisies and other acts once Whitesnake's subsequent North American, Japanese, South American and residency tours were all cancelled. Jelušić said he remains close to Coverdale, who called him personally in November 2025 to announce his retirement from music, but the pair never discussed performing together again after the tour collapsed.
