Seven Bucks Productions, founded by Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia, is partnering with New Zealand’s Pango Productions on Undeniable: Portia Woodman, a feature documentary about rugby star Portia Woodman-Wickliffe. New Zealand filmmaker Zoë McIntosh will direct the film, which will explore the Māori athlete’s achievements, injuries, fame, cultural identity and influence on women’s rugby.

Woodman-Wickliffe is a two-time Olympic gold medallist, four-time World Cup winner and the only player to win World Rugby Player of the Year in both sevens and 15s. She is also New Zealand’s leading female try-scorer and the highest try-scorer in Rugby World Cup history across men’s and women’s competitions. The project emphasises the shared Polynesian heritage of its key partners, while McIntosh brings experience from documentaries including Stylebender and Dark Tourist.
