Explained simply
Discord is a communications platform where people chat by text, voice and video, often in groups called servers. It is used by gaming communities and by people with shared interests, as well as for conversations between friends.
Nitro is Discord’s paid subscription, which adds features such as more profile customisation, larger file uploads and higher-quality video streaming. Users can also spend money on optional items such as profile effects and nameplates, or support a server with a boost.
Gift cards are a way to pay for these features without entering card details directly on Discord. They can also be given to someone else, making them a form of credit for use on the platform.
