Disney Animation Wants Jordan Peele to Make a Movie “Immediately”

Disney Animation chief Jared Bush said he wants Jordan Peele to make a film for the studio “immediately”, praising the director’s bold storytelling and willingness to take risks. The remark signals interest in bringing a filmmaker best known for live-action horror and science fiction into animation, though it does not confirm that Peele is developing a Disney project.

Bush made the comment during an interview at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival, responding to a question about filmmakers not usually associated with animation. Peele’s most recent feature as director was 2022’s *Nope*, which earned more than $170 million worldwide against a reported $68 million budget; his other films include *Get Out* and *Us*. Details of his next, currently untitled film have not been announced.
