Deadline · 43 minutes ago

Disney is restructuring its Consumer Products division, moving global licensing and publishing under the Studios division effective 4 October, whilst keeping parks merchandise and Disney Stores under Experiences. This reorganisation aims to align the licensing and publishing businesses more closely with Disney's creative content groups and represents a significant shift in how the company manages its product divisions.

Cathleen Taff, a 30-year Disney veteran, has been promoted to President, Disney Entertainment – Studios and Consumer Products, where she will oversee the incoming licensing and publishing businesses alongside her existing responsibilities for theatrical distribution, franchise management, and Disney Theatrical and Music Groups. Lisa Baldzicki has been expanded into an EVP role overseeing global Parks merchandise, owned-and-operated retail including Disney Stores worldwide, and a newly formed innovation team. Under Taff's theatrical leadership, Disney released seven billion-dollar films over the past three years, including Inside Out 2, Deadpool & Wolverine, and Avatar: Fire & Ash, building on record box office performance of £11 billion in 2019.
