New details have emerged in the Ohio "House of Horrors" case, in which 16 children were found living in squalid conditions at a home in Hamden, Ohio, leading to the arrest of four members of the Siders family on child endangerment charges. The case matters because authorities have described it as an "intrafamily" crime, suggesting some of the children may have resulted from sexual relations within the family, and a relative has now spoken publicly for the first time.

Ronnie Fletcher, who is married to a daughter of suspects Gary Siders Sr. and Christina "Lynn" Siders, told WOWK-TV he was horrified and had no knowledge of the conditions, saying the extended family had become estranged. It was also revealed that the children's mother, Elizabeth Siders, married Gary Jr. at just 15 and gave birth months later, and later had conjoined twins who died after being born prematurely. Gary Sr., Christina, Gary Jr. and Elizabeth each face 16 counts of child endangerment.
