Georgi M. Unkovski's film "DJ Ahmet" has topped the nominations for the 2026 Adriatic Film and TV Awards, which celebrate cinema and television from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia. The awards, run by the Film and TV Academy of the Adriatic Region, are decided by a vote of more than 800 regional film and television professionals, giving the results significant weight as a barometer of critical and industry regard across these Balkan film industries.

"DJ Ahmet", which premiered at Sundance and won its Audience Award and Special Jury Award for Creative Vision, secured seven nominations, ahead of "Yugo Florida" with six and "Wind, Talk to Me", "Mother" and "God Will Not Help" with five apiece. In the television categories, "Black Sun" and "The Hollow" lead with four nominations each, followed by "Komar" and "Shame" with three each. Winners will be announced on 24 October at Porto Montenegro in Tivat, Montenegro, with the Academy founded by the Sarajevo Film Festival, Auteur Film Festival Belgrade and Zagreb Film Festival.
