Tim Westwood faces 17 alleged sexual offences involving nine women
Former BBC Radio 1 DJ Tim Westwood, 68, has been charged with two additional alleged sexual offences involving separate women in London. The new charges bring the total he faces to 17, involving nine women, and relate to alleged non-recent incidents from 1991 and 2004.
Westwood is accused of indecently assaulting a girl aged 16 or 17 in Hammersmith and Fulham in 1991, and sexually assaulting an 18-year-old woman in Wandsworth in 2004. He denies the allegations and has pleaded not guilty to the existing charges, which include four counts of rape, nine of indecent assault and two of sexual assault; he is due to stand trial at Southwark Crown Court in January.
