Post-punk band Do Nothing have released “Act Natural”, the second single from their forthcoming sophomore album, Friend World. The track and its accompanying video suggest a marked move away from the sound of the band’s 2023 album Snake Sideways, with a stranger, more electronically distorted and theatrical approach.

“Act Natural” features wavering synths, loose-sounding guitars and prominent vocals from Chris Bailey. The Clump Collective-directed video shows the four-piece at an increasingly surreal dinner party involving telekinesis, soup and a fatal outcome; Friend World, influenced by writer Elizabeth Smart and comedian Andy Kaufman, is due on 6 November via Submarine Cat Records.
