BLACKPINK member LISA will be the subject of a new full-length documentary, "Always Lalisa," which is set to have its world premiere in the gala programme at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival. Sony Music Vision announced the project on 20 July, capturing what the singer has described as a landmark year of solo pursuits away from her K-pop group. The film underscores LISA's growing profile as an independent artist and actor beyond BLACKPINK.

Directed by Sue Kim and produced by Sony Music Vision alongside RCA Records, Tremolo Productions, Salt Water Productions and LLOUD CO, the documentary follows LISA through a year-long break from BLACKPINK as she navigates a solo music career, acting and building her personal brand. The Toronto festival runs from 10 to 20 September 2026, though no cinema or streaming release date has yet been confirmed. Over the past year LISA has performed at the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony, played Coachella, appeared in HBO's "The White Lotus," featured on Vanity Fair's cover and joined the Met Gala host committee, while also preparing a four-show Las Vegas residency and a follow-up to her chart-topping debut album "Alter Ego."
