Documentary+ has acquired *WrestleHer*, an 11-part documentary series about the growth of girls’ high-school wrestling in the United States. Premiering on 10 September on Documentary+ and Allez! Sports, it follows Ohio wrestlers during a pivotal period when the sport gained official sanctioning and its own state championship, highlighting a wider push for recognition and equality in a traditionally male-dominated field.

Developed, directed and showrun by Ryan J. Kelly, the series was produced by Substance with Fusion Filmworks, Documentary+ and Allez! Sports. It includes appearances from prominent wrestlers including Olympic gold medallist Helen Maroulis and Olympic champion Kurt Angle, while Documentary+ says it is its largest series to date and sees the programme as part of its expanding original-content slate.
