Dog fouling at Sheffield cemetery branded ‘disrespectful’ by grieving mum
A Sheffield resident has expressed frustration over dogs being brought into City Road Cemetery, where she has witnessed multiple incidents of fouling and urination on graves over the past year. Amy Upstone described the behaviour as disrespectful to those paying for burial plots and has documented at least two incidents photographically, along with observing several others.
When Upstone raised her concerns with cemetery staff, she was told that lack of funding prevents enforcement action. She has now called on other visitors to report similar incidents, hoping increased attention will prompt the local council to intervene. She notes that a nearby park is available as an alternative location for dog walking.
