Dolly Parton Estate Sets Two-Day DollyFests for Nashville and London in 2027, Says These ‘Parties of a Lifetime’ Will Take the Place of a Public Memorial

Variety · 19 hours ago

The estate of Dolly Parton has announced "DollyFest: The Celebration of a Lifetime", a pair of two-day festivals to be held in Nashville and London on consecutive weekends in 2027, describing them as the closest thing fans will get to a public memorial for the late singer. Danny Nozell, Parton's longtime business partner and CEO of CTK Enterprises, said a traditional memorial was not something she wanted, and that a festival-style celebration better reflects her wishes and personality.

The Nashville event had originally been planned as a multi-artist show for January 2026, timed to Parton's 80th birthday on 19 January, with her performing and hosting before she stepped back following health issues in August 2025. That event will now go ahead in her memory, alongside a newly added London edition, forming a "double-day, double-weekend, double-continent" celebration. Exact dates have not yet been set, and the estate said it is not discouraging other tributes this autumn but wants to allow time for grief and planning before revealing full details soon.
