Dolly Parton will receive the ACM Poet's Award at the 19th Annual ACM Honors, recognising her decades-long influence as one of country music's most acclaimed songwriters. The Academy of Country Music praised her body of work, including songs such as "9 to 5" and "Jolene", for combining honesty and storytelling in ways that have shaped the genre and reached audiences well beyond it.

Parton, a 13-time ACM Award winner and three-time show host, will accept the honour via a video message played during the ceremony, which takes place on 19 August at The Pinnacle in Nashville. She joins a lineup of other honourees including Eric Church, The Carter Family, Kacey Musgraves and Bill Anderson, with performances from artists such as Dierks Bentley, Trisha Yearwood, Margo Price and Megan Moroney; Carly Pearce and Parker McCollum will host the event, which is already open for ticket sales.
