Doncaster Rovers have signed midfielder Isaac Hutchinson from Bristol Rovers on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee, giving the League One club their eighth summer signing of the transfer window. The 26-year-old spent much of last season on loan at Cheltenham Town, where his strong scoring form is likely to have attracted interest from several clubs before he opted to join Doncaster.

Hutchinson scored 15 goals in 34 League Two appearances during his loan spell at Cheltenham, contributing to a combined tally of 20 goals in 47 games across all competitions last season for Bristol Rovers and Cheltenham. He previously played for Derby County and Walsall. Doncaster manager Grant McCann said competition for the player's signature gave the club reassurance about his commitment, telling the club website that "quite a few clubs were after him."
