Doors open at £1.4m ‘safe space’ youth centre
Doncaster’s £1.4m Wheatley Youth Hub has opened, providing a space for people aged eight to 25 to meet, learn and access support. The council says the centre is an investment in local young people and could help build confidence, wellbeing and connections across the community.
The hub is on Parkway South, beside a games area and play park, and is funded by the government. Its activities will include sport, art, education and wellbeing support; opening events are being held during the half-term holiday, including a Halloween party on Friday.
