Dragon’s Dogma 2 Dev Confirms Hard Mode Is Finally Coming
Dragon’s Dogma 2 director Kento Kinoshita has confirmed that a Hard Mode is in development, responding to longstanding criticism that the game becomes too easy as players level up. The mode is intended to provide a more satisfying challenge for experienced players approaching or reaching the level cap, potentially improving the long-term appeal of the RPG’s combat.
Capcom has not announced a release date or detailed how Hard Mode will work. It may arrive after the Dark Arisen expansion launches on 9 October, although it could potentially accompany it or a forthcoming update; Title Update 3.2, due later this month, will also revise combat, pawn and enemy behaviour, performance, and save slots.
- Hard Mode is officially in development for Dragon’s Dogma 2.
- It targets high-level players seeking greater combat challenge.
- Release timing remains unconfirmed.
