Drake used a Stake-sponsored Kick livestream on Saturday to host a "20 v 1" speed dating event featuring internet personalities including Jordyn Lucas, Lily Phillips, Lena The Plug and cosplay influencer Pinkchyu (real name Lin Lamar), ultimately choosing Pinkchyu as his "wife". The stunt drew widespread attention online, in part because Drake had previously described his ideal partner as a "goth baddie" during an appearance on Bobbi Althoff's podcast, a description many fans felt Pinkchyu fitted despite some online criticism questioning her goth credentials.

Viral clips from the stream showed Pinkchyu asking Drake to open Magic: The Gathering cards from between her chest and later getting him to bark like a dog, before he settled on her as his chosen "wife". When offered anything in the world as a reward, Pinkchyu asked Drake to buy her mother a house so she could retire, and he agreed, reportedly gifting a home worth around $400,000. He also gave Lena The Plug a paid holiday as part of the stream.
