Drake surprised the crowd at Karol G’s Houston concert on Sunday, 27 September, joining her onstage to perform his 2016 hit “One Dance”. The appearance drew a loud response and continued the artists’ growing public connection, following Drake’s visit to her Toronto show and their recent collaboration.

Their single “Ahí”, released in August, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart and gave Drake his first chart-topper on Hot Latin Rhythm Songs. “One Dance”, featuring Wizkid and Kyla, was Drake’s first Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 as a lead artist and spent 10 weeks at the top; he has also performed it at other surprise appearances. Karol G’s recent milestones include becoming the first Latina to headline Coachella and taking her 2023 all-Spanish-language album to No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
