Abe Laboriel Jr. joined Pearl Jam on drums during a surprise Ohana Festival performance, providing the first public indication of who might replace Matt Cameron. However, Eddie Vedder described him as “filling in tonight”, so it remains unclear whether Laboriel is the band’s permanent drummer.

The set, billed as “Eddie Vedder and Friends”, included five songs: “Corduroy”, “Hail Hail”, “Scared of Fear”, “Wishlist” and “Dark Matter”. Cameron left Pearl Jam in July 2025 after 27 years; Laboriel previously worked with Vedder on his 2022 solo album *Earthling*, and Pearl Jam are scheduled to headline Ohana on Sunday.
