Los Angeles band Dummy have announced their new album, ‘do you love the color of the sky?’, due for release on 16 October. The record follows 2024’s ‘Free Energy’ and is described as moving further into droning, left-field electronic and guitar-based sounds, while addressing contemporary concerns about artificial intelligence and art’s value.

Its lead single, ‘Full Spectrum Dominance’, combines a heavier sound with dance influences and critiques the power of technology billionaires and AI’s use of collective human creative work. The 10-track album draws comparisons with 1990s acts Seefeel and Broadcast, and its accompanying experimental video was directed and animated by Matt Wells, also known as POST MAN.
