Dungeons & Dragons will receive an official Star Wars expansion in 2027 under its Universes Beyond label, Wizards of the Coast has announced. The crossover is significant because it extends D&D into another major licensed universe while the company insists such projects will supplement, rather than replace, material for its own settings.

The expansion is scheduled for the latter half of 2027 as part of a “Season of Rebellion”, and follows a previously announced World of Warcraft crossover. Before then, D&D plans releases including Arcana Unleashed and the Deadfall campaign in 2026, followed in 2027 by a return to Dark Sun and a Greyhawk expansion, Crown of the Witch Queen; the company says it has hired additional staff for Universes Beyond work.
