EA Sports FC 27 will introduce The Grounds, a new PS5-only social football hub inspired by NBA 2K’s online neighbourhood-style modes. It aims to broaden the Clubs experience with casual matches and competitive play, while allowing players to develop and customise their avatars in shared locations.

The mode will feature three locations, cosmetics shops and football pitches, with mentoring from Kylian Mbappé, Chloe Kelly, Paulo Dybala and fictional character Alex Hunter. Elsewhere, EA says it has reworked defensive AI, attacking movement and passing, rebuilt Career Mode transfer-market logic, and added an Ultimate Team Gallery; the game launches on 25 September, or 18 September for certain Ultimate Edition buyers.
