Deadline's coverage of Italy's MIA Market has been updated with fresh detail on the event's 2026 expansion in Rome, most notably a new European Investment Hub dedicated to financial instruments, investment and EU policy for the audiovisual sector. As part of this strand, ANICA will present a study on the evolution of film consumption and APA will unveil its annual industry report, with Raj Singh, co-founder and CEO of Media Capital Technologies, among the guests. The additions build on the previously announced speaker line-up, including Conclave director Edward Berger, Banijay Entertainment CEO Marco Bassetti, Canal+ deputy CEO Anna Marsh and producer Jane Tranter, who will take part in fireside chats.

The market, running from 19 to 23 October at its Palazzo Barberini base, is spreading further across nearby venues: the Hotel Westin Excelsior will house film and drama activities, the InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace becomes the documentary hub, and the Hotel Sina Bernini Bristol will host animation strands including new programmes Animation Next and Gap Financing, alongside closed-door partner meetings. The Grand Hotel Palace adds business meetings, training and pitching sessions, while new satellite venues Spaces Via Veneto (talent development and an emerging filmmakers project with Alice nella Città) and the W Rome (a networking space called Casa MIA) further extend the footprint. The event is backed by Italy's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ICE, Creative Europe MEDIA, the Ministry of Culture, the Rome Lazio Film Commission Foundation, the Lazio Region, Roma Capitale and Eurimages.
