Developing story first seen 1 hour ago
Eight of Bravo’s Real Housewives will appear in a reimagined Off-Broadway revival of Neil Simon’s Rumors, with two casts taking turns across the winter engagement. The production pairs the reality television personalities with a comedy about private lives spilling into public view, and will be directed by Tony Award winner Zhailon Levingston.
Lisa Rinna, Phaedra Parks, Stacey Rusch and Dolores Catania perform from 9 January to 28 February 2027; Cynthia Bailey, Eileen Davidson, Carole Radziwill and Candiace Dillard-Bassett follow from 2 March to 21 April. The 14-week run at New York’s Newman Mills Theater opens on 25 January. It marks the New York stage debut for all except Rinna, who appeared in Chicago in 2007.

Explained simply
The Real Housewives is a Bravo reality television franchise following wealthy women in different US cities as they navigate friendships, family life and social events. Its cast members are known to viewers through unscripted scenes and on-screen disagreements, though the programmes show only part of their lives.
Rumors is a comedy by American playwright Neil Simon, first staged in 1988. It follows guests at a dinner party who try to conceal a crisis as misunderstandings and gossip spread. Simon was a major figure in American comedy, and his plays have often been revived for new audiences.
