Eight Sleep has announced the Pod 6, its latest intelligent sleep system designed to automatically regulate mattress temperature based on health metrics like heart rate and breathing. The company has redesigned the cooling hub to be half the size of previous versions whilst maintaining improved performance, marking what it describes as its most significant hardware launch to date. This matters because it makes the technology more practical for home use whilst maintaining the advanced features that differentiate Eight Sleep's offering.

The Pod 6 is available now in two configurations: a Standard version priced from $2,699 to $2,999 depending on mattress size, and a new Solo option for single sleepers at $1,999. The system has been significantly upgraded, with biometric sensors increasing from two to eighteen, now capable of tracking heart rate variability, breathing rate, sleep stages, and snoring patterns for multiple individuals. The cooling hub operates 20 percent faster than previous versions and uses Eight Sleep's AI-powered Autopilot feature to make automatic temperature adjustments throughout the night; this feature requires a mandatory annual subscription ranging from $199 to $399 for two users.
