Eight-try Wigan thump Toulouse to move into second
Wigan Warriors beat Toulouse Olympique 48-18 to record an 11th consecutive Super League win and rise to second place. The result underlined Wigan’s attacking strength, particularly after half-time, despite Toulouse briefly levelling the match shortly before the break.
Zach Eckersley and Liam Marshall each scored twice, while Bevan French, Noah Hodkinson, Sam Eseh and Jai Field also crossed; Harry Smith converted all eight tries. Toulouse scored through Paul Ulberg, Romeo Tropis and Cesar Rouge to make it 18-18, but Wigan pulled away with four unanswered second-half tries, including one while Brad O’Neill was sin-binned.
