Elastica announce expanded deluxe reissue of classic self-titled debut album
Elastica will reissue an expanded deluxe edition of its 1995 self-titled debut album on 2 October through Rough Trade Records. The release marks the Britpop band’s first major activity since a 2017 remaster and revisits an album that topped the UK chart, helped define its era and remains influential three decades later.
The 2LP edition adds rarities, B-sides and BBC Radio 1 sessions to the original album, while vinyl copies include a recreated original promotional poster; early limited-edition pre-orders also receive a 1995 ‘Cleopatra’ flexi disc. Elastica, who split in 2001 after releasing only one further album, said it was meaningful that the songs still mattered to listeners 30 years on.
