Elden Ring dev’s long-anticipated new game is hosting a playable network test, and sign-ups are live

Destructoid · 5 hours ago

From Software, the studio behind Elden Ring and Bloodborne, has opened sign-ups for a closed network test of its next title, The Duskbloods. First revealed last year as a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, the game has been kept largely under wraps since, so the test marks the first real chance for players to get hands-on details and suggests a release could be edging closer.

Interested players can register via the official website by linking their Nintendo accounts, though not everyone who signs up will be granted access. Successful applicants will be notified on 7 August, with the test itself running from 21 to 24 August. Described as a PvEvP title for up to eight players, The Duskbloods casts participants as "Bloodsworn of Dusk" battling both AI enemies and each other for supremacy, pointing to a heavier emphasis on online multiplayer and extraction-style gameplay than is typical of the studio's previous work.
