Electric Callboy have released a new single, "The Way You Are", which starts out as a nostalgic late-1990s-style boy band love ballad before abruptly shifting into one of the heaviest tracks the German band have ever produced. The song is a preview of their forthcoming album "Tanzneid", due out on 7 August 2026, and continues the group's trademark approach of blending pop hooks with extreme metal elements. The accompanying music video mirrors this contrast, opening as a sentimental boy-band throwback before turning into a bloody, nightmarish sequence.

"Tanzneid" will also feature tracks such as "Hypercharged", "Revery" and "Ratatata", with release celebrations beginning at Berlin's Huxley's Neue Welt before continuing at Escalation Fest 2026, where the band will play the album live for the first time alongside acts including The Rasmus and Alestorm. The album's promotion also includes an ongoing global scavenger hunt involving "Pink Boxes" hidden in various cities, with the final boxes containing golden tickets offering lifetime access to the band's headline shows. Electric Callboy will subsequently tour Japan, Australia and Europe in support of the record.
