Elements Music & Arts Festival returns to Long Pond, Pennsylvania, from 7-9 August, continuing its evolution from a Brooklyn warehouse party into one of the United States' leading camping festivals. Ahead of the event, Dancing Astronaut spoke with co-founder Brett Herman and general manager Dan Slutsky about what keeps the festival distinct: a participatory, community-driven ethos inspired heavily by Burning Man culture, with attendees encouraged to feel part of the event's fabric rather than passive spectators.

This year brings entirely redesigned Fire and Earth main stages, a newly created Guest Relations department overseeing every attendee touchpoint from website to campsite, and fresh additions including woodland art installations and a retro-style candy shop. The festival's "Vibe Village" group-camping culture remains central, with attendees building their own stages, art and interactive experiences. On the music side, organisers say they aim for a broad genre spread, from UK garage and house to dubstep and harder techno, while prioritising both established headliners and emerging regional talent, citing past early bookings of acts such as The Chainsmokers and Louis the Child.
